Coming Together to Help You Find Your Path to Mending
Welcome! We are so glad you’re here! At Path to Mending, we are about working with our clients to embrace their strengths, abilities and gifts. Often times, this requires acknowledging and resolving old wounds. We would be honored to guide you in this process and help you along your path!
Who We Work With
Growth and healing are processes that unfold over time and the path is a difficult one. It takes patience, humility and compassion to walk this path as well as an awareness of one’s own contributions to behavioral patterns. Here are some questions to consider as you may be thinking about reaching out:
What am I hoping to accomplish through therapy?
Am I ready to invest the time and energy consistently to heal?
Am I ready to acknowledge how my symptoms are impacting my life and relationships?
Am I ready to acknowledge how old patterns which once kept me safe, are ready to be evolved?
Am I ready to accept responsibility for my life and healing?
Am I ready to be curious and compassionate toward myself, with guidance?
Am I ready to accept guidance on those difficult parts of the path?
Ready? We will walk the path with you. You will not be alone. If you have read these questions and feel like Path to Mending is a good fit for you, we would be honored to hear from you!
“Before you heal someone, ask him if he's willing to give up the things that make him sick.” -Hippocrates

House Visualization Technique
Over the last two decades, research has demonstrated the benefits of visualization and guided meditation for both physical and mental health. In 2014, I was deep in my healing process, when I sat down one day in meditation and asked “What would my mind look like if it was a house?” What followed was a “house” that would stay with me for years. Each time I visited I learned and connected with myself and my wounds.
The House Visualization Technique (HVT) Workbook is one of the tools we use (and created!) to help clients create self-connection and build self-compassion. There’s no more important place to feel safe than in one’s mind and often a disconnect with our inner world can prevent us from understanding our own processes. HVT bridges that gap and provides a simple, effective, and powerful tool for healing and growth!
